Weight: 20 lbs 1.2 ounces
Height: 27.5 inches long (at his 9 month appointment)
Medical: Cohen got his fourth cold this month and this time it turned into his first ear infection. He woke up crying at 1:00 AM Saturday morning and he never wakes up crying like that so I knew something was wrong and had a pretty strong feeling it was an ear infection. So we took him to the pediatrician Saturday morning and they checked him out and I was right. Proud mama moment right there haha.
Cohen has NINE teeth now! 9! One of the nine is his fang on the top left of his mouth. Honestly, he could have more but I barely ever get a good look in his mouth since he squirms like crazy.
Sleep: Okay, so I have given up hope on a baby that sleeps through the entire night. I think Cohen's eternal clock goes off sometime between 4-5 every night and he's just gotten use to me nursing him back to sleep. I wish I could let him fuss it out but because we sleep in the same room it is just not possible. On the other hand though, napping is going incredibly well compared to before. He usually naps for an hour and a half and he naps twice a day.
Clothes: Cohen has officially made the switch to 12 month clothes. He's on the smaller end for that size but he looks so cute in the 12 month clothes we bought for him.
Diapers: Pampers Swaddlers Size 3. While we were in Utah my mom accidentally bought Snug N Dry instead so it was his first time trying another diaper. I liked them, but not as much as we like our swaddlers!
Diet: Cohen only nurses now before naps, and sleep so it's definitely slowing down. He's pro at using his straw sippy cup to drink water, and feeds himself most foods. I spoon food him a few things and haven't yet tried to let him try the spoon on his own yet :) Cohen eats whatever we eat, the only thing we haven't given him yet is sweet stuff like candy, cookies, cakes, etc. We gotta wait one more month so he can have a smash cake PARTY!
Baby Gear Love: Balls, books, blocks, and Daniel Tiger (tv show)
Firsts: first word "ball", first ear infection, first cousin was born, first time pointing to different things
Milestones: Can stand on his own for a few seconds before he falls down, says da da but not in context
Likes: When we make silly faces, when dad throws him around, to be outside, to be out and about, dogs, LOVES to get a reaction out of people, making new friends
Dislikes: Walking, being told no, when daddy fights mommy (play fight), peanut butter and jelly, and being put in his car seat (sometimes even his high chair)
Fears: Saxophone, ball pits, crawling through long tunnels

Things I want to remember:
-how happy Cohen gets when we throw and catch a ball back and forth
-the smile on Cohen's face when mommy starts reading Cohen a book
-the way he will sit still and be so engaged when there's anything animated on the TV
-the way he will sit still and be so engaged when there's anything animated on the TV
-how Cohen had peanut butter and jelly for the first time and hated it
-the many compliments that Cohen gets on his tan skin
-how he's always throwing his head back when he gets mad
-how he is crazy like his daddy and is our little spaz
-Cohen is 11 months and can walk with our help but takes 5 steps and gets bored... he has NO desire to walk lol
Cohen, one more month and we will have spent an entire year together. It has been the best year of my life. Being a mom is such a joy. Yes, there are hard times, especially now that he is learning what is okay and what is not okay to do, but oh my goodness his smile just makes my heart melt every single day. I am going to cry just thinking about it. I love to see him learn and discover new things and use his little imagination with certain objects. Cohen, you are so loved and blessed but you have blessed our lives so much more. We love you sweet boy.
